TRANSCRIPT OF EPISODE

What’s your personal weather forecast today? Stormy with a chance of tears? Or clear eyes? Shining heart with no cloudy emotions in sight? You’ll probably experience bouts of peace and happiness today, perhaps even some ecstasy. Enthusiasm may make a showing. Chances are that you’ll also be seeing some frustration, irritation, and anger. Righteous rage could blow through. Worry and fear will most likely appear at some point, or even be a major backdrop to your day.

Now think of how all these emotions feel in your body. They alter your body chemistry, affecting heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and hormonal balance along with changes in digestion, circulation, respiration and metabolism. Your body is an environment with its own internal climate, and this climate is deeply affected by your emotional, mental and physical condition. I don’t think it’s a stretch to consider that each one of our personal climates is also emanating outwards and having an affect on the planet’s ecosystem.

Could it be that you can contribute to a more balanced climate by addressing your own inner terrain? After all, there are 7.67 billion people on earth right now - how could that not have a powerful impact on our shared environment? Today we focus on creating a sustainable and thriving inner environment, not only to increase our own enjoyment, but to contribute to the co-creation of a thriving planetary environment.

In this podcast we explore a system of unique meditative exercises that have been developed by Saul Goodman over the last 35 years. Each episode includes discussion about the science of your changing self, as well as a guided journey to expand and adjust your developing light body. As always, I encourage you to enter into this material with an open yet discerning mind. These words are merely here to guide you into a direct experience with yourself, and your inner realm should be the primary source of your information and guidance.

Light body activation is great for your health. It can bring more alignment and fulfillment to your relationships. You can use it to enhance creativity. It’s a wonderful tool for social activism. Working to expand and adjust your developing energy system can also be used to positively influence this lovely planet that we call home. And that’s what we’ll be exploring in this episode. Beginning with some freeform proprioceptive movement and then delving into our vertebral column and outerbody, let’s investigate how we can come into a deeper alignment with the life force that permeates our world.

Climate change is a big issue with us humans lately. Many people feel very strongly that our earth is in a grave crisis while others feel very strongly that climate change is not real and/or not created by humanity’s doings. Regardless of what you think, there’s a good chance you don’t feel relaxed about it. And that’s what I want to address. So hold your horses if you are already getting heated up about whatever I am or am not saying about climate change, because rather than go into a debate about it, let’s focus together at a frequency that will offer some fresh possibilities. And by the way, I’m not suggesting that external actions such as restoring agricultural practices that build soil health and drastically cutting down on fossil fuel usage are not of value. I am suggesting however, that carrying out those actions from the frequency of frustration, guilt, anger or crisis creates vibrational friction and pollution that is quite destructive. I’m also saying that there’s another option that provides you with powerful leverage.

If you’re feeling negative emotions several times a day, whether from thoughts about family, friends, co-workers, the government, the pandemic, or perhaps even specifically about the climate itself, this is having an affect on your internal condition. Things inside are heating up, cooling down, swirling, stormy…. you get the picture. Of course, some of this is to be expected. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t experience a rich range of emotions. But it seems like our inner environs have become quite extreme. Could it be that this internal experience is having an affect on the earth’s actual atmosphere? Come to think about it, how could it not?

If 7.67 billion people are each churning inside with frustration, anger, worry, fear and depression a good portion of their lives, don’t you think that’s affecting the environment? Contemplate how it feels when someone who is steaming mad walks into a room. You can feel it, right? The person’s emotions have force, and this force isn’t contained inside of their physical body. It expands outward and even can have specific trajectories, like to a certain person or situation. These emotions create friction and friction creates heat and disintegration. Learning how to cultivate peaceful emotions and thoughts changes this pattern. You instead exude vibrations that are in harmonic resonance with life.

Of course we are all doing this sometimes, naturally, without thinking about it. And there are many methods to working with our thoughts and emotions that are incredibly effective. But we’re going to go into our bodies to adjust the energetic components in order to set ourselves up for more ease in our thoughts and emotions. This supports any other methods you use, such as therapy, positive affirmations or Byron Katie worksheets. We will focus on cultivating a robust and flourishing climate on the inside and learn how to consciously amplify the impact of this on the ‘outside.’ Adjusting our inner territory, even a few degrees (! pun intended), not only makes life more enjoyable, it has consequences that reverberate outwards through every smidgeon of this universe.

Ok, let’s go on a light body adventure. Today we’ll start with some freeform proprioceptive exercise. This is a unique method to unwind compression, release stress and free previously trapped energy to course through your body and energy field. Your proprioceptive awareness will lead you through unique templates of movement designed specifically by and for you, dictated from your own body’s innate wisdom. This type of movement may lead you into positions that are asymmetrical and unusual and not considered ‘correct’ if looked at from the perspective of traditional postures or forms. Also, you may find yourself holding strength positions that normally feel difficult; as restrictions in your body release, previously trapped energy flows through your muscles, organs and glands, making you stronger. Instead of the strength positions feeling hard, they will feel incredibly satisfying, and during them your strength will gather rather than dissipate.

Activating proprioceptive awareness allows us to tap into the power of our inner guidance system, our inner positioning system, to lead our body through a personally choreographed sequence that unwinds our personal story from the tissues of our body. Using the tools of slow motion movement, attention to sensation, and encouragement of elasticity are the key factors that activate proprioception. It may take a bit of practice for you to allow yourself to decouple from expected patterns of movement and let the inner directive of your body lead the way. Freeform proprioceptive exercise will free compression from your tissues and generate the flow of energy and information through your whole system. Be prepared to feel a surge of empowerment and clear purpose as your very cells come into more alignment with the present moment and all that it is always offering.

Make sure you have a quiet space to sit where you won’t be disturbed. Put on some comfortable clothes, turn off notifications on your phone, and settle in to enjoy your dear self. Here we go….

[GUIDED PROCESS]

Conclusion

Each time you do a process like this, you’re activating your developing light body. Not only can you explore your own self, everything that you experience contributes to a library that benefits everyone. We’re bringing activity to a whole network of consciousness, a whole network of awareness that has information, energy and even entertainment.

As you move into other activities, see if you can bring your attention off and on back to sensations in your body. See if you notice different energy components in your system as you go about ‘regular’ activities. You can synthesize an experience of these parts of you into your daily life, enriching anything you do and increasing the capacity to connect to those around you in a meaningful and fulfilling way. Keep in mind that it’s a good idea to keep your system more compressed, less expanded, if you’re around large crowds or areas where there’s alot of motion or friction, like a shopping mall or airport.

If you feel like sharing any of your experiences during this process, make a comment on our website or leave a review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Your experience and input belongs here; it helps all of us to learn and connect and build a vibration of support in our community. On that note, I’ll leave you for today. Thanks so much for going on this journey with me today. I look forward to another light body adventure soon.
