Are you stuck in a conflict with someone or something in your life? Does it feel difficult or even impossible to resolve? You may have never considered that you can use your own body to open a flow of communication and harmony. In today’s episode we’ll go through a meditative process to try this out and see how it works for you.

We’ll begin with some freeform proprioceptive movement to release stress and promote alignment. Then, instead of communicating through words, you’ll work with your outerbody, heart chakra and soul frequencies to create a vibrational bridge with a situation or person with whom you feel conflict. Friction free pathways open, allowing understanding to take the place of defensiveness, confusion and power struggles. Emotional wounds and convoluted thought patterns that are contributing to the conflict are bypassed as the higher frequency of the soul moves easily through these dense levels of restriction. Compassion melts away layers of disturbance that have been preventing all involved from truly seeing and hearing each other.

You may have the best intentionto get along with others and feel at peace in your life. However, conflict can arise with those you care about, sometimes in unexpected ways. Feelings of conflict can also come up in relation to how you feel about your job or your home or an upcoming event.

Conflict comes from friction, a resistance of one person or idea against another. This friction slows down or halts the flow of movement, which can affect you physically, emotionally, mentally and even spiritually. Think of a bicycle wheel if you hold something against it as it tries to spin: it slows from the resistance resulting in heat and maybe even sparks. Friction between ideas and beliefs creates the same kind of reaction, generating sparks of judgement, blame and anger. There are a few ways we tend to deal with conflict:

  1. Place the blame outside ourselves and expect the external situation or person to change.

  2. Focus in other directions and let things settle down without getting into it. Sometimes, this can eventually bring a degree of resolution. It may just bury the conflict while it continues to affect other layers of our life.

  3. Discuss what happened in order to try and come to an understanding or compromise, or address the situation directly to try and ease the conflict we feel about it.

That last one is usually considered the most mature and effective option. But it isn’t always possible nor is it always effective. Sometimes it simply brings more attention to the source(s) of friction and leads to another layer of disagreement or discomfort. Let’s explore another option that offers you a whole new way to go about things.

A New Option for Addressing Conflict: Your Body

There’s an option to address conflict that you may have never considered: your body. By making some simple adjustments to your energy system, you can open a flow of communication and harmony. Anyone can do this, and yes, that includes you! In the following guided process we’ll try this out so you can experience first hand how it works.

We’ll begin with some freeform proprioceptive movement to loosen restrictions and promote alignment. This is the first time this season that we’re doing freeform proprioceptive exercise. This involves following the inner directive of your body as it guides you in a series of self-corrective movement, kind of like a meditative dance. This slow movement activates a part of your nervous system that enhances sensitivity to subtle sensations and releases compression that has built up in your joints, muscles and organs. I’ll talk you through the basics of this so you can really get into and enjoy your body.

We’ll then use this sensitivity to feel and adjust various parts of the energy system that can be used to enhance communication as well as harmonize polarized thought structures, beliefs and values. This creates an opportunity for peace and cooperation, even when that initially feels impossible. We’ll specifically work with the outerbody, heart chakra (male and female aspects) and soul frequencies to create a vibrational bridge with whoever or whatever is involved in the conflict.

This opens new friction free pathways, allowing understanding to take the place of defensiveness, confusion and power struggles. Then you can initiate a non-verbal ‘conversation.’ Emotional wounds and convoluted thought patterns that are contributing to the conflict are bypassed. We also initiate the higher vibrations of the soul to infuse the interaction and encourage it to move through these dense levels of restriction. Compassion melts away layers of disturbance that have been preventing all involved from truly seeing and hearing each other.

Layers of Calibration: the physical body, outerbody, heart chakra & soul star

Why does bringing your body into a more free and aligned state help you use it to create more harmony in your relationships? There are several layers to this. First of all, when your body is less restricted, including muscles, fascia and joints, life force can flow more freely. Like clearing traffic from congested roadways, you can clear pathways of information within your tissues and nervous system so that the whole system is functioning more smoothly. This not only enhances the performance of your physical self, it also creates more balance in the emotions as wounds literally unwind out of the body. Even destructive psychological patterns begin to loosen. When there is less compression in these various layers, communication and clarity are enhanced.

Bringing attention outward to expand the field of vibration that extends beyond your physical body gives you greater opportunity to contact other people and/or events. This is because it becomes more permeable, more open. In order to talk to someone on the phone, you need to dial their number and wait for them to pick up on the other end. Calibrating your outerbody is like picking up your phone and turning it on, and your intention and sensitivity can then reach out and invite contact with others. Instead of needing an intermediary device, you use your body to directly communicate.

Then we move into the heart chakra, a place where friction can transform into harmony. This energy portal synthesizes polarized energies into a transcendent vibration. Rather than blaming, correcting or trying to figure things out, the heart chakra lifts beyond these lower frequencies into those of compassion and unconditional love. In other words, there’s a physiology to love!

Bringing the soul into this process carries a whole new level of possibilities. I’m not going to go into it too much with words, but instead let you explore it directly. In my experience, the soul is not just a nebulous concept or hopeful construct. It is a higher frequency range of yourself that is often disconnected or misaligned with the body due to stresses that have built up over time. Once these stress matrixes soften and release, the physical body softens and the energy system becomes more expanded. Soul forces can then merge with the physicalized layers of your body. The lower frequency range of the personality comes into alignment and coordinated synthesis with your soul vibration and your true nature comes into prominence. The person you want to be, that you know you are, can express without the filters of the personality dampening and distorting the flow of your heart.


Moving From Concept to Action

Reading or listening to these ideas can stimulate some change in your body and even start the process, but to really find out if any of this is true and if you can use it in your life, you have to try it out using your own body. So let’s get started. Set yourself up on the floor with enough space to move around a little. You may want to have some cushions or a blanket handy in case you want to lie down for the second part of this guided journey. Make sure you’re in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed and settle in to enjoy your dear self. Here we go….
